Eight Principles of Information Architecture

For the last few years, I’ve been informally codifying some universal principles that guide my work as an information architect. They’re not guidelines or patterns… just some things that ring true and that help inform my designs.
These principles were the topic of my short session at this year’s IA Summit (taking place in the arid, strangely quiet Phoenix, Arizona).
